🎨 Make-and-Take Projects: Kids bring home their creative masterpieces, like snow globes and LED Arctic wands.
🎥 Winter-Themed Movies & Documentaries: Explore snowy landscapes and learn through fun, age-appropriate films.

Daily Schedule
8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Arrival & Morning Welcome
9:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Discovery Activities (e.g., Winter-themed games and LEGO challenges)
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Snack Break
11:00 AM – 12:15 PM: STEAM Challenges (hands-on engineering, crafts, and more)

Parents of players in current chess classes, clubs, and private coaching are invited to progress meeting. Coach Rhonda will provide an overview and presentation of some chess classes, and invite parents to watch a fun mini chess match between kids and coaches. Parents may join in too for the challenge!
Each family will also receive a progress report with personalized comments from your child's coach.

There’s a new space for kids to play chess in Richmond this summer. Come visit our Pop-Up & Play event at the Children's Museum of Richmond on Thursday, July 8th from 10 am - 2pm. Kids get a free mini lesson at 11am. Museum Admission Required. Masks to enter and Hand Sanitizer to play. Make big moves on our giant chess board!
